Description: Omega Speedmaster
Pre-owned Omega Speedmaster remained in production for several years between the 1960s and 1980s. As a circa 1980s model, this ref. 145.022 / 145.0022 sports a flat dial, non-recessed sub-dials, and a painted Omega logo. Additionally, the Tritium luminescent material on the hands and hour markers has acquired a lovely patina through the years that contrasts beautifully against the sharp black dial. Furthermore, this edition of the Speedmaster has the text, “Flight-Qualified by NASA For All Manned Space Missions,” engraved on the case back as a testament to the collection’s contributions to space exploration.. It houses the caliber 861 hand-wound movement, which beats at a rate of 21,600 bph and boasts better accuracy than its successor, caliber 321.
