Rolex GMT-Master 16700
Pre-owned Rolex GMT Master ref 16700 (1987 – 1988) was the last in the original Rolex GMT series, which was replaced a few years later by the GMT Master II. Curiously enough, Rolex continued to produce this reference alongside its successor for many years because it was a popular and more affordable alternative to ref. 16710. It also introduced a few modern design elements to the original GMT series, including a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and hour markers in glitzier white gold surrounds. The authentic Rolex 16700 for sale here is an early example of the model from the late 1980s that sports older-style Tritium luminescent material, the caliber 3175 Perpetual movement, and a black aluminum bezel.
