Pre-Owned Watch Condition Examination:
This vintage GMT is in overall great vintage condition. The case is strong with some scratches and wear. The bezel insert is in great condition with some scratches; it has faded throughout. The dial is in great condition and has developed light patina throughout. The hour markers have developed patina and some plots have developed some areas of darker patina. The hands have developed patina and the lume in the hands have aged to an almost pumpkin color. The slightly later bracelet has some wear and stretch between the links which is common for this style bracelet. The crystal has light wear.
Description: Rolex GMT-Master 1675 Root Beer
The reference 1675 is the second iteration of the original GMT Master and was offered in many variations. A handful of metal options were produced under ref. 1675, including the steel and gold like the example we have here. It pairs the two-tone finish with a beautiful brown dial with brown and gold bezel. However, what really sets this watch apart from other vintage Rolexes on the market are the charming yellow gold nipple hour markers and overall “Root Beer” motif.
This example is in overall great, honest condition and the bezel has faded throughout giving the watch a unique look. These two-tone “Rootbeer” GMT’s are the perfect blend of casual and sporty, great for all occasions.
